CBSE 10th & 12th boards 2022 will be held in twice with syllabus spilt in 2 terms. Evaluation will be based on term 1, term 2 and internal assessment.

  • Board exams for 10th and 12th will be held twice during the year in different formats 
  • The syllabus will be reduced / rationalized similar to that of the last academic session (almost 30%)
  • 50% or half of the reduced syllabus, considered term 1 will be assessed during the months of November-December 2021 with a flexible schedule in a window of 4-8 weeks in different parts of the country
  • The second half, considered term 2 of CBSE board 2022 will be held in March-April 2022
  • Paper pattern for 1st term exam CBSE 10th and 12th (Nov-Dec?21): 90 minute paper with multiple choice questions only, likely to be conducted in schools with the supervision of external superintendents
  • Paper pattern for 2nd term exam CBSE 12th and 10th (Mar-Apr?22): 2 hour exam with various question formats
  • Internal assessments, practicals and project work will also be counted to ensure fair distribution of marks
  • Student profile of all students will be created on CBSE portal by schools where marks will be uploaded for assessment and digital evidence will be retained
  • Total theory marks will be sum of term 1 and term 2 with equal weightage
